This Cookie Policy explains how Slidiant uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website or use our services. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. By continuing to use Slidiant, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the site owner.
In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies such as:
- Local storage: browser-based storage used to retain your session and preferences without an expiry date.
- Session storage: temporary storage that is cleared when you close your browser tab. Slidiant uses sessionStorage to hold a per-tab viewer session identifier for presentation analytics — this is not a cookie and cannot be accessed by other sites.
Throughout this policy, we use "cookies" to refer to these technologies collectively unless a distinction is relevant.
2. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
- To keep you signed in to your Slidiant account securely.
- To remember your preferences and settings.
- To understand how you use the platform and improve our service.
- To protect the Service from fraud, abuse, and security threats.
- To deliver relevant in-product announcements and feature updates.
- To comply with legal obligations.
No advertising cookies: Slidiant does not serve third-party advertisements and does not use advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies of any kind.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
We categorise our cookies into four groups. You can manage your preferences for each category in Section 5.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on Slidiant are set by third-party services. We do not control these cookies and they are subject to the privacy policies of the respective third parties:
- Google / Firebase — authentication and analytics. Google Privacy Policy
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe Privacy Policy
- Sentry — error monitoring and performance tracking. Sentry Privacy Policy
We regularly review our list of third-party service providers. If we add new providers that set cookies, we will update this policy accordingly.
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have several options for managing cookies:
5.1 Cookie consent banner
When you first visit Slidiant, you will see a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page.
5.2 Browser settings
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will affect the functionality of Slidiant.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" feature that signals to websites that you do not want to be tracked across websites. Because there is currently no accepted standard for how websites should respond to these signals, Slidiant does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals. We will revisit this position as standards develop.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via a notice on our website.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
